There have been plenty of studies conducted about the health effects people can fact from drinking coffee. Drinking coffee late at night can have a negative impact on your quality of sleep.

On the other hand, many students have learned that coffee can be used as a stimulant for an added energy boost. The burning question for the moment though is: does drinking coffee actually provide health benefits or negative side effects? Keep reading to explore the possible health benefits of drinking a moderate amount of coffee.

A powerful antioxidant, methylpyridinium, is contained in roasted coffee. Coffee is the only food type where this particular antioxidant is found in large amounts. Oddly enough it can't be found in raw coffee beans. Rather, methylpyridinium is created as a result of the roasting process. The raw form of the compound is trigonelline. Once brewed, the antioxidant methylpyridinium is created. In addition to regularly brewed coffee this can be found in instant and decaf coffee. This type of antioxidant has been shown to protect the body against various forms of cancer. Men who drink coffee can enjoy a lower risk of developing gout. Commonly associated with painful inflammation in the joints, gout is often a recurring condition. Most patients report the joint of the big toe being the worst affected, although other patients may be affected in the ankles, knees, wrists and fingers as well. This kind of inflammatory arthritis makes the joint seem hot and tender and can often appear as red and swollen. Uric acid, the chemical believed to cause gout in the body is also the cause of kidney stones. Research shows that coffee consumption lowers uric acid levels in the body. There are however number of other different styles of coffee maker machines for everyday and gourmet coffee available like single cup coffee makers and also espresso coffee makers and a lot more.

Aside from the health aspect of drinking coffee, it can also play a dramatic part in cosmetic appearance. Coffee drinkers often complain of stained teeth that can become yellowed or even a mild shade of brown as a result of heavy coffee drinking. Consuming large amounts of coffee also leads to dehydration a symptom of which is dry skin. Drinking regular coffee can also lead to dehydration and dry skin. Dehydration by drinking regular coffee can also lead to excessively dry skin. One of the most noticeable effects of dry skin is how easily the skin on your face and hands can begin to wrinkle more quickly than those who are properly hydrated. New stretch marks or an increased prominence in existing stretch marks is another sign of dry skin.

In conclusion, it looks like drinking coffee in small amounts might have some value to your health. But, those people that are into drinking a lot of coffee should take note that there are bad health effects that could rise out of taking in too much caffeine. Moderation is the key to getting a healthy balance.
